The Community of George, Iowa invites you and/or your organization to participate in this year’s Freedom Days Parade!

By hitting ‘submit’ I understand the rules and guidelines for the 2021 Freedom Days Parade and warrant that my/our entry will fully comply.

  1. Parade begins at 1:00 pm on Saturday, July 3.

  2. Check in time is from 11:30 am – 12:30 pm. Parade will start

    promptly at 1:00 pm.

  3. All parade participants must check in and your entry number will be provided to you upon check-in on Saturday. All entry spots for lining up are first come, first in line.

  4. Check in is next to the Cooperative Farmers Elevator – 206 South Main Street (located on the south end of Main Street across from the Lumberyard).

  5. If your entry has animals, you must provide your own scooper.

  6. Once your entry has started along the parade route, no one may

    board the float.

  7. Your entry may not exit the parade route before the end of the


  8. For public safety, candy or any other type of items may NOT be

    thrown from your vehicle/float. However, walkers in your parade entry may hand out candy or other items if you wish. If you are handing out candy, PLEASE make sure you have enough people so your entry does not slow the parade down!

  9. Entries with children under the age of 16 must have one (1) adult per five (5) children.

10. Parade officials will inspect all entries and reserve the right to eliminate any entry that may pose a safety issue to the public.
